Photoshop/Lightroom Courses

Developed by photographers for photographers, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom allows professional photographers to manage, adjust and present large volumes of digital photographs. This means you spend less time in front of your computer and more time behind the lens.

This one day one on one training day  is designed to ensure you harness the potential of photoshop/ Lightroom to dramatically improve the way you manage digital images, from raw capture to creative output.

Pre-Course Requirements

Have an equivalent working knowledge of Photoshop and/or Lightroom.

Introduction

  • Tethered capture in Lightroom

Navigating the Library module

  • Using the Navigator

  • Comparing and surveying images

Organising images

  • Flagging, rating and labelling

Managing photos in the
Library module

  • Working with keywords
  • Using metadata options
  • Photo filtering and searches

The Develop module

  • Using the Develop module presets
  • The Snapshots and History panels
  • Using the Histogram panel

Image Editing essentials

  • Correcting white balance
  • Using Vibrance and Saturation controls
  • Sharpening and noise reduction
  • Creating vignettes
  • Removing distortion from images

Using the Tool Strip tools

  • Cropping and straightening images
  • Using the Spot Removal tool
  • Retouching dust on a lens
  • Fixing red-eye
  • Using the Graduated Filter tool
  • Selective toning and colouring
  • Smoothing skin

Black and white images

  • Converting to black and white
  • Modifying and enhancing black and white images
  • Creative black and white

The course is a one to one training course, that involves both photography in the studio, off site photography and photoshop/Lightroom training and last (depending on progress of individual) up to 6 hours.
